John Brown
Induction Award
John conscientiously served as a builder across the sporting spectrum. His affection of all facets of athletics and compassion for others was evident in all his endeavours. Beyond his personal athletic pursuits, John became a referee, coach, sponsor and administrator. His predominant characteristics of understanding, empathy, leadership and innovation were admirably implemented using a win-win attitude. His achievements in sports were exhibited through his undertakings as a hockey referee, sports columnist, assorted team and league presidencies. In addition, he successfully coached regional and provincial championship teams. Serving his community he commendably fulfilled innumerable municipal and regional positions to achieve the posting as Simcoe County Warden.
