Bruce Beacock Passing

Springwater Sports Heritage is saddened by the news of the passing of Simcoe County Archivist, Bruce Beacock.  During the early beginnings of SSH Bruce was very cooperative in providing excellent advice and guidance to assist us in moving towards our goals.  His kind and helpful character ensured we would seek further guidance when appropriate. 
 

County Clerk Brenda Clark shared the following sad news:

It is with deepest sorrow to announce the sudden passing of our friend and colleague Bruce Beacock, Simcoe County Archivist, on Sunday evening.

Bruce began his career with the County in 1983, and was appointed as the third Simcoe County Archivist in 1994.  He was gifted and passionate about his profession, and about preserving the history of Simcoe County.  He was extremely proud of the Simcoe County Archives and of its accomplishments and contribution to the Corporation, local municipalities and to the community. 

His achievements and influence will live on in his profession as well as in the Simcoe County Archives. Bruce will be missed.
