Springwater Sports Heritage Hall of Fame Inaugural Induction Ceremony

The Springwater Sports Heritage Hall of Fame recently hosted its Inaugural Biennial Induction Ceremony. The Board completed the challenging but exhilarating selection of 11 Athletes, 7 Builders and 4 Teams that will represent the Inaugural expanded quota of Inductees. The 2014 Inductees, beyond their personal achievements, contributions and tie to the Township of Springwater, connect with the NHL, Curling and other Halls of Fame, the Olympics, Regional/Provincial/National/International and World Championships. Although some are deceased the remainder continue to support Athletics locally or have travelled beyond to pursue their sporting aptitudes and enthusiasm. The purpose of Springwater Sports Heritage is to digitally chronicle, preserve and provide internet access to Springwater’s sports heritage and to ceremoniously acknowledge and exhibit the awards of exceptional sporting contributions and achievements of Springwater’s Athletes, Builders and Teams.
