Russell Ritchie
Russell passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in his 81st year.

Springwater Sports Heritage mourns the loss of another valued Hall of Fame Inductee. With the passing of Russell, Springwater Sports Heritage sufferers the loss of the third Ritchie brother, of a threesome, Inducted into its Hall of Fame. Like his brothers Russell significantly contributed to the success of the hockey teams he was part of. He was a hard working and dependable defenceman throughout his playing career. Russell played a key role in two minor hockey provincial championships series and numerous Oldtimers hockey tournaments. In the same way he supported his teams he served his community and church. Russell was always one that volunteered to assist wherever possible. Springwater Sports Heritage is honoured to have Russell as a distinguished member of its Hall of Fame.
