Ross passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2016 after a courageous fight against prostate cancer.

2016 Inductee

It is with great sadness that Springwater Sports Heritage received the news of the passing of Ross within two months of his impending Induction into 2016 Springwater Sports Heritage Hall of Fame.  In June, when informed of his Induction he was extremely pleased and proud that his numerous athletic endeavours were to be recognized but disappointed that he expected he would be unable to attend.  Ross enjoyed being an active member of the Midland Golf & Country Club as well as spending winters on the ice playing hockey for the Midland Saints Oldtimers Hockey Club.
