Gary Keeler
Gary passed away in August of 2021, in Crossfield Alberta
It is with sadness that Springwater Sports Heritage Hall of Fame (SSHHOF) recently received news of the passing of one of its honoured members Gary C. Keeler. SSHHOF learned that Gary passed away in August of 2021 in his 82nd year, at Crossfield Alberta. In 2016 Gary was inducted into the SSHHOF with his team the Elmvale Palace Hotel Fastball Club of 1964. Gary was a very talented, multi sport athlete, playing baseball with the Midland Indian ball team, fastball with his hometown Victoria Harbour team, the Orillia fastball team, and starred at shortstop with the Elmvale Palace Hotel club of 1964, helping them win championships. During his years at Midland Penetang District High School, he was a renowned track and field athlete, setting records in the pole vault. Gary will be remembered as a wonderful personality and ball player.
