1954/55 Elmvale Comets
Induction Award
In 1954, The Elmvale Comets Women’s Softball team dominated play in Simcoe County winning the highest championship level of ball available to them. The team, being all local Elmvale young ladies became the cream of the crop very quickly, defeating teams drawing from much larger town centers. In 1955, 13 players remained and subsequently won the BDLS League and were Playoff Champs. The team was very talented and important to the community, with the stands always crowded with fans, cheering on their home-town Champs!
