Michelle Simpson-Leigh (builder) Narrative


While her successful skating career was cut short by a seriously ruptured Achilles tendon at the age of 16  Michelle went on to give back to her passion through her coaching career.  She has achieved a long list of successes through her competitors and by assisting other coaches and clubs.

Michelle has achieved great success as a coach.  She has coached at three Olympic Games, fifteen World Championships and thirty three Canadian Championships.  Her most successful competitive skaters are Elvis Stojko (CDN), Jennifer Robinson (CDN), Jeff Langdon (CDN), Alaine Chartrand (CDN) and Takeshi Honda (JPN).

Michelle is very interested in training and education and has assisted numerous organizations and individuals in developing successful teaching/learning models, including online learning, to assist in achieving their expectations.
