Douglas Kirton

Doug excelled in hockey at the amateur and pro level. With the Jr A Orillia Travelways Doug played in the Canadian Jr A finals each of his three years, winning the Centennial Cup in 1985. During a full scholarship at Colorado College he attained All-American Academic status. Subsequent to being drafted by the New Jersey Devils, Doug pursued his pro career in Germany with the Straubing Tigers and Frankfurt Lions. Straubing selected him as the top foreign player in team history and retired his number. Doug resides in Seattle as Hockey Director for the Sno King Amateur Association.
