During a full scholarship at Colorado College he attained All-American Academic status. Subsequent to being drafted by the New Jersey Devils, Doug pursued his pro career in Germany with the Straubing Tigers and Frankfurt Lions.\u00a0 Straubing selected him as the top foreign player in team history and retired his number.
