Garry Turner

Garry passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Saturday, May 12, 2018

Springwater Sports Heritage is saddened by the passing of Garry. He is a two time member of the Springwater Sports Heritage Hall of Fame. Garry was an outstanding goaltender on the 1964-65 Alex Currie Pontiac Juvenile Hockey Ontario Championship Team that was inducted in 2014. In the same induction year Garry was inducted with the 1977 Elmvale Merchants Men's Ontario Fastball Championship Team. During his 70 plus years he spent a lot of time on the ice at the Elmvale Curling Club and the Elmvale Community Arena Hockey Rink. During the summers his time was spent at the Elmvale Ball Diamond. Garry was always a valued athlete and friend of many.
